Terms & Conditions

SwishZone rules and Code of Conduct

ACCESS & MEMBERSHIP

All SwishZone shooting lanes allow only ONE person in the lane during an individual session and TWO shooters for a double shooting session. Our Scarborough location also has the capacity to accommodate a third shooter.

Please communicate with a SwishZone staff member for assistance or questions within the facility.

SwishZone’s recommended age requirement for use of facilities is 8 years old. Children 12 and under must have a parent present in the viewers stands during their session.

All members under the age of 18 years of age require parental registration which assumes the parent/guardian/ward has read, understands and agrees to this waiver.

DRESS CODE

SwishZone requires appropriate indoor athletic clothing and shoes.

Outdoor footwear is NOT permitted on the court floors at any time. Indoor non-scuffing running shoes are the only footwear permitted in the
facility.

No one may walk around SwishZone barefoot or shirtless. Short/long-sleeved t-shirts, shorts or bermudas, sweat suits and running shoes are permitted. Because some people are sensitive to certain strong odours, please limit the quantity of perfume, cologne or other perfumed products that you wear during your workout.

DAY-USE LOCKERS

Some SwishZone locations have lockers available for your convenience and to protect your possessions. You are advised to leave them locked at all times.

Members must empty the locker at the end of their session, and return the key to the front desk. Keys not returned, or lockers left unemptied will incur a $50 replacement fee.

SwishZone does not have a lost and found, therefore SwishZone and its staff hold no responsibility for lost, stolen or objects left behind.

USE OF CELL PHONES AND CAMERAS

Cell phones are allowed in silent or vibration mode only. Selfies and video of your own session are permitted however, using a cell phone and taking photographs or video of staff, other athletes, or SwishZone facility and equipment is strictly forbidden without prior authorized consent.

Athletes agree that video and photographs may be taken and used by SwishZone for promotional use only.

USE OF EQUIPMENT

Athletes agree to follow all rules and regulations, whether written, posted or advised by staff, regarding the proper use of the SwishZone equipment and facilities. Please inquire if you are unsure how to use equipment, leave all areas clean, and put all unaffixed equipment away after use. Staff members reserve the right to remind you of this rule if necessary.

CLOSING TIMES/SESSION TIMES

Members and guests must have finished their session and leave SwishZone by closing time. Members and guests must also leave the lane promptly after their session to allow for the next guest to start at their scheduled time.

CANCELLATION POLICY

SwishZone has limited lanes, and many of our lanes sell out. For this reason, we request that you cancel at least 3 hours before your scheduled session. This will allow us to offer your spot to another Customer.

You may cancel or reschedule your session through our website www.swishzone.ca or through the SwishZone/GloFox app available on the app store.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration of acceptance for playing in the SwishZone, I hereby, for myself, my ward and my family members, waive and forever release SwishZone and all its officials, organizers, volunteers, employees and members from any claims for damages, personal injuring or expense, due to any cause, including negligence or breach of contract, arising from participation and use of SwishZone facilities and equipment. I accept full responsibility for all damages and loss of my personal property and effects. In the event of injury, I give my permission and consent to authorize first aid/medical/hospital care as deemed appropriate.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Members agree to speak respectfully to other members and to staff. They must refrain from speaking loudly to avoid disturbing another member’s session. Internal regulations (posted and staff directed) are to be followed at all times.

INFRACTIONS

Violation of the code of conduct may lead to verbal warnings from staff, and a written warning if the situation requires.

VERBAL WARNING

Staff members have the right to remind you of a regulation (if it becomes necessary) to inform you of the standards in place at SwishZone. They will ask for your cooperation in maintaining them.

WRITTEN WARNING

If a staff member sees that, despite verbal warnings, a member continues to violate the rules, or in cases of abuse or a serious offense, the SwishZone administration will demand in writing that the rule in question be followed. The member will be reminded of the standards in place at SwishZone and will be asked to correct any behaviour that violates these internal standards.

MEMBER EXPULSION

If the SwishZone administration, through a staff member, sees that, despite the written warning, a member continues to violate a rule, or in cases of abuse or a serious offense, the member will be temporarily or permanently expelled from SwishZone and have their membership contract terminated.

VIOLENCE PREVENTION

It is the policy of the Shotz City that its employees and members have the right to work and enjoy the facilities in an environment free of violence.

Violence is the intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person, or against a group or community, which either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, maldevelopment, or deprivation. Acts of violence are not tolerated at SwishZone.
